WHO ARE WE?

We are GILL and GLYN HALE. That's us on the right. We live amongst the beautiful Cotswold Hills of Gloucestershire, England in the village of CHALFORD HILL. Glyn originally came from Monmouthshire, South Wales. As his family moved around quite a bit in the nineteenth century and were (and still are) particularly elusive we've had to do our research in five counties, Monmouthshire, Gloucestershire, Glamorgan, Somerset and Wiltshire, and have picked up quite a lot of gen on the way about other people's families. It's because we want to share that knowledge that we have built this site. We have literally HUNDREDS of pages of information and we will be adding new information EVERY WEEK so even if you don't find anything that's useful to you on this visit please come back again.
